Ring Modulator + Frequency Split Delays

Smear Campaign is a slightly funny name for a musical effect but in many ways that is exactly what the effect does to your audio: it smears the frequency input into new (sometimes nasty) shapes. In real terms Smear Campaign is a Ring Modulator followed by a Frequency Splitter and 2 Delays (Hi and Low).

The Ring Mod is fully modulatable by MIDI CC so you can get everything from tremolo to ripping Mutated SciFi effects and lots of sparkling sounds in between.

The Frequency Splitter section (or Smear) consists of a cross over frequency created by adjustable slope Low and High Pass Filters operating around the same frequency, so there is a charming 'phase hole' (watch out Captain Kirk) in the middle, that feeds two delays that can create some lovely sounding Chorus effects or tape Delay sounds. Hi-Low Cross Feedback is also possible.

Smear Campaign is great for instrument level Enhancement, Chorusing and just plain weird noises.
