Shortwave is an experimental synth for finding and playing the waves that are hidden inside more complex sounds. Simply load in any kind of wave file and then create micro (or macro) loops that form the basis of your synthesiser sound. You can tune the sounds to standard pitch (with the help of a VST Tuner like GTune) or leave them 'off key' for sound effects that stand out.

Shortwave comes with 3 Banks. The Default bank by me and 2 extra banks called Lo Fi and Micro Tone (+ samples) by Azrael. These banks will give you an idea of how Shortwave operates as well as a lot of useful sound textures for your compositions.
