Glaz is an easy to master FM synth. I have pondered FM synthesis ever since I owned a Yamaha DX 100. The DX fascinated me and I made several sounds that I loved and used often, and were always perfect . But it was a beast to program so I let it sit and then I let it go. I have thought for a long time on how to make an FM synth that I (and others) could understand and like. Well I believe that I have done it and it is called Glaz (or 'glass').

Glaz can operate (no pun intended) as either a traditional FM synth or as a 4 osc subtractive, or a combination of both all in the one patch, eg. layer an FM Bell over an Analog String/Pad. The reason that Glaz is so flexible lies mostly in the Matrix where everything gets mixed and modulated together. Routings are very thorough so everything from delicate tinkles to screaming blasts of noise are possible.
