16 Band Character EQ + Frequency Splitter

BandWerks is essentially a Fixed Filter Bank (more generally known as a graphic equalizer) but the bands are not entirely fixed. Unlike many EQs, BandWerks actively seeks to color the input and transform it into something slightly (or vastly) different just as an amplifier & loudspeaker alters the clean tone guitar into Deep Purple or Carl Perkins or Chris Rea or...

The band widths and frequencies can be altered to create a more mobile sound, each band can have its phase inverted, noise can be added (for realism and 'presence') and then the audio can be pitch modulated to create a drift or vibrato. Finally the audio can be fed back to itself with short delay times to create a 'cabinet' effect.

Once you get the hang of flying BandWerks (and how hard can 16 vertical sliders really be) then you will find yourself transforming the sonic footprint of lifeless instruments into the perfect sound and engaging instrument for the mix.
