Janus is a heavyweight analog style synth that can do a lot more than it's interface initially suggests. This is because of it's innovative triple modulator and the warm 'Moog' style filter coupled with an overdrive. Janus has a big sound that would fit right in on a record from the 70's where the artist was using something like a Moog, ARP, Roland SH or even a Yamaha CS.

 

For my part, through every generation of Janus, I wanted to create a synth that would let me have the kinds of sounds that I have on my old records by such artists as Vangelis, Larry Fast, Tomita, Human League, Tangerine Dream etc. I feel that as much as is possible I have achieved this. Expect Janus to be able to give you both warm, fat melodic instruments and crunchy blasts of noise. The addition of crude FM greatly expands what Janus can deliver to sound designers and knob twiddlers alike.
