When I am not building VST instruments and effects then I am composing music. My preferred musical style is Space Music - think Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Tomita, Jarre & Larry Fast. I grew up in the 80's so of course my music and instruments are also influenced by the sounds of Gary Numan, Kraftwerk, Brian Eno, Ultravox & Japan. Space Music because it is so often about space but because music helps us create spaces in ourselves.

Like many composers I have a love/hate relationship with my music. I need to create things but somehow they are so rarely exactly what I want them to be. I guess that the results are really little parts of me. I offer them in the hope that someone else will relate to them and gain something in the way that I have gained from all the musicians I have appreciated over the years.

Column 3-57 was really just an earlier evolution of the style that I compose in now. Some of the earlier work is quite Berlin School and New Wave at the same time. 'Solaris' & 'Gods' were labelled as Column 3-57 albums but really they were the point of change to composing under my own name.

Benedict was the other, softer, half of me that I felt I couldn't express whilst working under my other guises. Benedict releases tended toward the New Age.

Destructor Creator Destructor was a one off experiment in writing Heavy Metal with electronics. I really wanted to form a live band to play the songs but it never happened - a shame because I always wanted to be a metal god.

Aeroplastic Voice was my attempt at firstly emulating New Wave artists like Gary Numan and Ultravox and then EBM Industrial artists like Front 242 and Skinny Puppy. Other things got thrown in too along the way.
